Aadhaar Card Status – News & Tips

The UPA Government came up with an idea of Aadhar Card which will be considered as a proof of Identity and address anywhere in India. The Raw idea of the Aadhaar Card was to have a common Identity for all which will be connected to central government authorities directly and can be used as a prime Identity proof. The then Planning commission of India established the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) for the creation of Aadhaar Card of Indian Citizens.
In main words, Aadhaar is a very important individual identification number of 12 digits which is generally issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India ( UIDAI ) on behalf of the Indian Government. This unique number will be used as a proof of identity and address, everywhere in the country. Aadhaar letter which is usually dispatched through turtle speed service India Post and online generated e-Aadhaar which you can grab from official UIDAI website are equally legit & valid.
Any individual from any age group and gender can enroll for UID card if he / she fulfills the verification process ensured by UIDAI and is resident in India. You can’t enroll twice in this free of cost process as UID will be your unique number. Unlike vehicle license and ration card, Aadhaarr card comes with life time validity and is usable for banking, mobile connection and several Govt. services purposes.
Sr.What Aadhar isWhat Aadhar isn’t
1.A unique identity of 12-digits for each Indian individual from several age groups whether children or elders.Just another formal burden and useless document.
2.Enables strong identification for each Indian resident. One Aadhaar card is sufficient for whole family.
3.Demographic and biometric information of each resident is recorded for unique identification purpose.Gathers information only such as  language, religion and caste.
4.Not mandatory but very effective and required for a lot of services.Vital for every personal who already got other identification documents.
5.Each applicant will obtain a single but unique ID numberAn individual can get various UID numbers.

7.UIDAI will be giving answers to all identity authentication queries from individuals.UIDAI support will be available to only some agencies
Earlier UID Card was supposed to be just an unique photo identity Proof with having a unique Card number and will be accessible by the police to stop crimes. But once the UID Project kick started many domestic services got attached with. The then UPA Government decided to take off the subsidy being provided on Domestic LPG usage and made a plan to deposit the subsidy on beneficiaries bank account linked to Aadhar Card Directly.
Later the NDA Government launched the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna for the citizens of India. In PMJDY every citizen of India who doesn’t have access to Saving Bank Account will have to enroll for a Bank Account. This PMJDY linked directly with UID and all the benefits of the PMJDY will be entitled only if one has UID.
Though Aadhar Card is not necessary to avail all the services and domestic benefits but government has cleared everything that only persons having Aadhaar Card Status will be availed the most benefits. Few days back Supreme Court of India slammed the decision of government ordered not to force citizens to produce UID every where. Supreme Court has clearly said that Aadhaar Card should not be the base to have all the service and it could not be treated as a must have Document.
Why Government chose Aadhar Card over other Identity Documents?
  1. Easily verifiable in an online, cost-effective way
  2. Unique and robust enough to eliminate the large number of duplicate and fake identities in government and private databases
  3. A random number generated, devoid of any classification based on caste, creed, religion and geography.
